Timothy James Meaney and his son, Jake Meaney, will lead worship at Higher Ground!
We are excited to announce Pacific Northwest Christian music artists and worship leaders Timothy James Meaney and Jake Meaney will lead worship as father and son at 2017 Higher Ground Men’s Conference!
With a love for leading worship that began in Junior High, Timothy James Meaney has written, produced and performed music as well as served as a church and event worship leader since the early 90s. His son, Jake, also caught the music bug early playing bass, guitar and singing in his early teens. He is currently on staff at Bellevue Presbyterian Church as the Modern Worship Associate Leader.
“We couldn’t be happier that Timothy James and Jake Meaney will be leading us in worship this year,” Prodigals International President Steve Dulaney said. “Their obvious commitment to Christ, their talent, and above all the very picture of legacy they project as they lead as father and son is something we love to celebrate at Higher Ground.”
Leading at Higher Ground will be a homecoming for Timothy, as in his youth he stepped up to lead worship for his college ministry at his home church, Westminster Chapel. Today, after recording 10 albums over two decades, Timothy still plays up and down the west coast and throughout the world, leading worship and performing concerts. He has performed throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, several European countries, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand and the Philippines. He also owns a Creative Design Studio called Meaney Creative where he and his team design and rebrand businesses, churches and bands. Jake Meaney has also performed and led worship throughout the US as well as Mexico, Canada and Germany.
“It’s hard to even think of doing anything besides performing and playing music for others,” Jake said. “It’s really what I feel I was born to do.”
Timothy and his wife, Tiffany, have two sons (TJ & Jake) and reside in Bellevue; Jake lives in Ballard.
