Special Sessions for Workplace Integrity/Stress Management

How to improve your stressful jobCountless articles, research and anecdotal conversations give testimony to an increasing reality of escalating workplace stress, including those situations described as “toxic” in both their environment and leadership.  In the midst of this, men of faith have a strong desire to deliver excellence in their work and lead with integrity regardless of their environment. The 2018 Higher Ground Men’s Conference is pleased to present two encouraging breakout sessions specifically designed to equip men of faith with practical tools to sustain this higher ground of integrity by identifying the roots of these stressors, reclaiming a biblical perspective of their work, and developing a game plan to live by their core values for the balanced life they desire.

Presented by Al Erisman, founding board member KIROS.org | Theology of Work Project

In today’s competitive culture, men often find themselves in toxic work environments. Moving at breakneck speed with ever-decreasing support and resources, our work often feels like a necessary evil.  But the Scripture tells us that we were made for good work.  This breakout will dive into key Biblical insights about what God has to say about our work, our purpose, and how – even in the challenging times – God can use us for his glory and his Kingdom—at work.

Are you living YOUR life? Are you increasingly feeling stretched thin by increasing work demands, information overload, struggling to balance work and home commitments, while also having a sense of reduced resources?  Is the diminished ‘margin on your page’ stealing desired time for the activities and relationships that you value most?

You are not alone. Numerous studies show that job stress is far and away the major source of stress for decades. This breakout will examine the challenges at the root of stress and how men can live by their core values.  We will also review several practical applications that can be incorporated into your real-life routine to make your life your own and establish the balanced life you desire.

Featuring keynote speaker ESPN’s Brock Huard, The 2018 Higher Ground Men’s Conference is the premier gathering for men of faith for encouragement, straight talk and practical tools for winning the battle for integrity in today’s fragmented and hyper-sexual culture.

2018 event is Saturday, Feb. 10 at Westminster Chapel, Bellevue. Discounted tickets available for Fathers & Sons, Groups and Active Military & First Responders.
